02HOW IT WORKS

Capped turrets. Quarter MOA clicks.

1Windage turret

Capped, 0.25 MOA per click, marked right on the cap. Take the cap off, dial, put it back.

2Elevation turret

Capped and low, so nothing snags. Up to 120 MOA of elevation travel, per the maker sheet.

3Flip up covers

Covers on both ends keep the glass clean when the scope is stowed.

4Light dial

Pull the side dial to unlock it. 11 brightness settings, and it locks where you leave it.

03THE RETICLE

Marks you can trust at every power.

Four short arcs around a dot for fast aim, hash marks out to 20 MOA each side, holdover rows with wind dots, a ranging ladder up top and a lower stadia to 32 MOA. First focal plane: slide from 1x to 10x and the picture and the reticle grow together.

Illustration. The reticle is traced mark for mark from a photo through the real scope and laid over a Texas ranch with a USPSA target (18 by 30 in) at 100 yd. Each power shows the field of view of the published 1-10x24 design (116 ft at 1x, 11.7 ft at 10x). The reticle is drawn about 4 times its true size so you can see it at 1x; it grows with the picture at the same rate.

04MOUNT IT

Pick a 34 mm mount.

The RZ 1-10 has a 34 mm tube. Pick one of these in the buy box at the top, with its colour and height, and both parts go in the cart in one press. 1.54 in is the height that lines up with the PREDATOR thermal clip-on.

07QUESTIONS

Before you buy.

Is the reticle in the first or second focal plane?

First focal plane. The reticle grows and shrinks with the zoom, so its marks mean the same at every power. At 1x it looks small; that is normal for a first focal plane scope.

Is it MOA or MIL?

MOA. The turrets move 0.25 MOA per click and the reticle marks are in MOA too, so they match.

Is the reticle lit?

Yes. The side dial has 11 brightness settings. Pull the dial to unlock it, turn it, and it locks where you leave it.

Does it come with a mount?

Not on its own. Pick the Spuhr SP-4616, the Geissele Super Precision or the Badger C1 in the buy box at the top and both parts go in the cart together. Any one piece mount or rings for a 34 mm tube will fit.

Which mount height should I pick?

1.54 in is the height that lines up with the PREDATOR thermal clip-on, and it is the first choice on the Badger C1. The Spuhr SP-4616 is 1.50 in and the Geissele is 1.70 in. A taller mount suits a head up position with a lot of kit on; a lower one keeps the scope closer to the bore.

How far does it adjust?

Up to 120 MOA of elevation travel, per the maker sheet. Each click is 0.25 MOA.

Will it hold up on a .308?

It is rated for .308 recoil, and we have tested these scopes at the range on our own rifles for years.

Can I return it?

Yes, within 14 days of delivery. A 30 percent restocking fee applies to change of mind returns of devices, and you pay the return post. If it arrives faulty, email us within 7 days of delivery and we repair or replace it.
